Subsequently, he worked in the asset management industry for over six years and the last 17 years in private wealth management across organisations such as Standard Chartered, Bank Sarasin in sales, investment advisory, research, and product roles. He has won several accolades during his stint at these organisations. He is the architect of the investment platform at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth and is responsible for creating our highly acclaimed 4C framework for selecting fund managers as well as the Delphi platform of solutions. He is a regular invitee on leading business channels and has authored several articles in leading economic dailies.

His 24-year tenure at ICICI Group included key leadership roles at ICICI Bank and ICICI Securities, as well as international experience in the Middle East - strengthening his global perspective on wealth creation and portfolio strategy.

A highly respected leader in the wealth management industry, Akash Hariani brings over 25 years of deep expertise in advising Family Offices and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs). Prior to joining Motilal Oswal Private Wealth, he spent 21 years at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he played a pivotal role in building and scaling bespoke wealth management solutions tailored to the complex needs of UHNI clients, while also driving client engagement and business growth.
Akash began his professional journey at TCFC Securities and later held a key leadership role at Avendus Wealth Management's Multi-Family Office as Executive Director. There, he was instrumental in strengthening the multi-generational family wealth vertical and enhancing long-term advisory capabilities.
With extensive experience across UHNI and Family Office ecosystems, Akash has earned a strong reputation for strategic insight, trusted counsel, and execution excellence. In his current role, he is instrumental in shaping and accelerating the growth strategy of Motilal Oswal Private Wealth, both in India and internationally.

Sandipan Roy is currently the Chief Investment Officer at Motilal Oswal Private Wealth in Mumbai, bringing over 2 decades of experience to the role. As CIO, he oversees the product development, research, portfolio management and advisory functions for the Private Wealth business. Sandipan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PGDM from IIM Kozhikode.
With the rich experience in the investment industry, Sandipan is a recognised expert in product structuring, portfolio management, business development, research and advisory.
